Three things I’d love to know about blogging – but don’t

You only need to take a quick look at my archives or even my follower count to know that I’ve not been at this blogging malarky for long. I’ve always been slow with trends. I was still listening to music on my Sony Discman when the world had moved on to mp3 players. I get there in the end.

Although, I’ve been writing for most of my life and communicating (professionally) for a lot of it, this blogging game, (sometimes I feel it might be a game for some) is an interesting and enjoyable passion that I’d really love to get to grips with fully. Continue reading


Forget film…love tv

Okay, let me begin by saying the title of this blog does not really reflect my true thoughts on this subject – more than anything, I just like the way the words flow! There is also the fact that I would never actually go so far as to encourage anyone to ignore the absolutely brilliant films that have been made for us; the stomach-ripping comedies, the gripping dramas, the historical epics, the believable science fictions. Rihanna gets a rollicking

Well, what a thought-provoking debate columnist Liz Jones has stirred up this week. Her comments about Rihanna have got everyone talking from the Guardian’s ‘Who’s a better role model? Rihanna or Liz Jones,’ to ┬átv shows debating the subject with angry mothers. For those who don’t know, Liz Jones writes for British newspaper, The Daily Mail – a shame really that she chooses such an odious newspaper as her platform, because when she’s on form she really has some interesting points to make and it annoys me to have to read them via their publication (but that’s another subject entirely).
